The motor bracket can extend the B measurement upto 125mm as shown above.

The A and B measurements can be changed, by moving the motor bracket or in extreme cases the gate hinge postion, to obtain the desired opening.

The A measurement can be changed by moving the motor bracket to change C

If the gate is further back than the post then the motor bracket can be extended by placing a smaller post to extend B. See below.
